Finning lanz\u00f3 recientemente al mercado nacional un nuevo sistema de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda CAT basado en bater\u00edas de ion-litio, que busca contribuir a la meta de alcanzar la carbononeutralidad al 2050 y promover el desarrollo sostenible en la industria local.
\"JeanEl director de Energ\u00eda y Motores en Finning Sudam\u00e9rica, Jean-Paul Claisse<\/a>, explica que estos equipos ya est\u00e1n operando con \u00e9xito en Estados Unidos, en los mercados de petr\u00f3leo y arriendo.
\u201cEl cambio de la matriz energ\u00e9tica de Chile, adicionando fuentes renovables, trae asociada la necesidad de administrar la oferta y demanda de energ\u00eda. Por lo tanto, almacenar este recurso para utilizarlo cuando es requerido, contribuye a resolver este problema inherente a las fuentes renovables\u201d, afirma.
Agrega que, asimismo, sistemas aislados o alejados de las fuentes de generaci\u00f3n son susceptibles a fluctuaciones, cortes o p\u00e9rdida de calidad de la energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica. Entonces, contar con un sistema de respaldo basado en bater\u00edas permite resolver muchas de estas dificultades sin impacto ambiental, tanto por ruidos o emisiones al ambiente.

Sistema escalable y de despliegue r\u00e1pido<\/strong><\/p>\n

La nueva soluci\u00f3n de Caterpillar parte desde los 570 kW de potencia el\u00e9ctrica y consiste en un sistema de almacenamiento de energ\u00eda basado en bater\u00edas de ion-litio, escalable y de despliegue r\u00e1pido.
\"MatiasMat\u00edas Mocilnikar<\/a>, Key Account Manager Finning Sudam\u00e9rica, explica que estos equipos se integran con fuentes de energ\u00eda renovables o convencionales para almacenar energ\u00eda y utilizarla cuando la fuente principal no est\u00e1 disponible, y proporcionan reserva virtual de potencia para optimizar la eficiencia de generadores convencionales. Adem\u00e1s, proveen energ\u00eda de respaldo temporal en caso de un corte de suministro.<\/p>\n

Destaca tambi\u00e9n que \u201clos nuevos sistemas de almacenamiento CAT son una adici\u00f3n clave para las soluciones de microrredes, al lograr sinergias con sistemas existentes, mejorando la calidad y reduciendo el impacto ambiental y los costos de la energ\u00eda\u201d.<\/p>\n
