Santiago, octubre de 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Marta Sanchez<\/a>, vicepresidenta de Secure Power & Data Centers para Sudam\u00e9rica en Schneider Electric, se convirti\u00f3 en la primera mujer suramericana en recibir el premio Woman of the Year<\/em> de Data Center Dynamics<\/em> (DCD), uno de los reconocimientos m\u00e1s prestigiosos a nivel mundial en la industria de los centros de datos. Este galard\u00f3n destaca su liderazgo, trayectoria y aporte a la transformaci\u00f3n digital y energ\u00e9tica de la regi\u00f3n, as\u00ed como su compromiso con la inclusi\u00f3n femenina.<\/p>\n

Con m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os de experiencia en el sector tecnol\u00f3gico, Sanchez ha liderado proyectos clave en Colombia, Chile, Argentina y Per\u00fa, impulsando la modernizaci\u00f3n de infraestructuras cr\u00edticas con enfoque en sostenibilidad, eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y digitalizaci\u00f3n. Desde su rol en Schneider Electric ha promovido estrategias que han permitido la construcci\u00f3n de centros de datos listos para soportar cargas intensivas de inteligencia artificial, integrando tecnolog\u00edas de alta densidad, refrigeraci\u00f3n avanzada y herramientas digitales como software inteligentes.<\/p>\n

Su reconocimiento cobra especial relevancia en el contexto latinoamericano donde persisten brechas de g\u00e9nero significativas. De hecho, seg\u00fan el informe del Instituto de directores de Chile (IdDC), se estima que, aunque las mujeres constituyen m\u00e1s del 51% de la poblaci\u00f3n en 2025, solo un 22% ocupa cargos en directorios, lo que significa que persiste una disparidad significativa en la representaci\u00f3n femenina en los niveles m\u00e1s altos de toma de decisiones empresariales.<\/p>\n

El premio Woman of the Year<\/em> de DCD reconoce no solo la trayectoria profesional de Marta Sanchez, sino tambi\u00e9n su papel en una industria donde la presencia femenina a\u00fan es reducida. Este hito marca un precedente para la industria en la regi\u00f3n, donde la expansi\u00f3n del mercado de centros de datos \u2014que se proyecta superar\u00e1 los 1.160 millones de USD en 2030\u2014 debe ir de la mano con una mayor representaci\u00f3n de mujeres en ingenier\u00eda, liderazgo y gesti\u00f3n de infraestructuras cr\u00edticas.
