Este viernes 8 de mayo se desarroll\u00f3 la&nbsp;ceremonia de entrega e instalaci\u00f3n de Sellos Giro Limpio 2019-2020 para las empresas transportistas que se han comprometido con la sustentabilidad y eficiencia energ\u00e9tica.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recibir el sello Giro Limpio es alinearse con la sostenibilidad a trav\u00e9s de la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero y del consumo de combustible, lo que de paso reduce los costos y mejora la competitividad del sector.&nbsp;Es as\u00ed como,&nbsp;Juan Carlos Mu\u00f1oz, Gerente de Supply Chain, destaca que \u201cQueremos poder asegurarles a nuestros clientes que tenemos la cadena de abastecimiento m\u00e1s sustentable y eficiente del Mercado\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la ceremonia efectuada a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma Google Meet, estuvo la Agencia de Sostenibilidad Energ\u00e9tica (AgenciaSE), administradora del programa y dependiente del Ministerio de Energ\u00eda, quien otorg\u00f3 este sello a las empresas transportistas adem\u00e1s de presentar buenas pr\u00e1cticas&nbsp;para la reducci\u00f3n del consumo de combustible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La importancia estrat\u00e9gica del programa para el negocio de empresas Mel\u00f3n est\u00e1 en mejorar el desempe\u00f1o ambiental y log\u00edstico, reduciendo la huella de carbono de sus productos, como tambi\u00e9n, diferenciando su marca respecto de su competencia y para sus clientes. Lo anterior, siguiendo el ejemplo exitoso de Smartway, programa similar a Giro Limpio que ya funciona en Estados Unidos, Canad\u00e1 y M\u00e9xico desde hace varios a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Qu\u00e9 es Giro Limpio<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Giro Limpio es un programa nacional voluntario y gratuito que actualmente congrega a m\u00e1s de 8 mil camiones, que reconoce y certifica los esfuerzos realizados por las empresas transportistas y certifica a las compa\u00f1\u00edas generadoras de carga que prefieren a los transportistas comprometidos con mejorar su desempe\u00f1o medioambiental. Esto genera un impacto positivo en la cadena de valor de todos los productos que se mueven en el pa\u00eds.&nbsp;Entre los objetivos de Giro Limpio est\u00e1 mejorar la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica, mediante la reducci\u00f3n del consumo de combustible.
