Es as\u00ed que a partir del a\u00f1o 1930 se dan las primeras pautas de construcci\u00f3n sismorresistente y ya post el mega terremoto de Valdivia de 1960 se da inicio a la evoluci\u00f3n de las regulaciones al respecto, form\u00e1ndose la asociaci\u00f3n Chilena Sismol\u00f3gica e Ingenier\u00eda Antis\u00edsmica.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-28825 alignleft\" style=\"margin: 20px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.revistalogistec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/german_flores.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.revistalogistec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/german_flores.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.revistalogistec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/german_flores-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.revistalogistec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/german_flores-75x75.jpg 75w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Desde ah\u00ed y a lo largo de nuestra historia, el camino en la evoluci\u00f3n de las regulaciones no se ha detenido. Siempre nos hemos caracterizado en Chile por avanzar responsablemente en el dise\u00f1o de estructuras resistentes, contribuyendo siempre a la seguridad de las personas, las empresas, las construcciones y de las estructuras en general, permitiendo as\u00ed tambi\u00e9n la continuidad en la operaci\u00f3n y la cadena de suministro en general.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Acciones de la industria <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hace varios a\u00f1os atr\u00e1s, el Instituto Chileno del Acero (ICHA), lider\u00f3 la conformaci\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 de Estanter\u00edas Met\u00e1licas, guiando los trabajos relacionados con la regulaci\u00f3n del dise\u00f1o, fabricaci\u00f3n y montaje de racks, lo que en el transcurso del a\u00f1o 2020 decant\u00f3 en la publicaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica llamada: \u00abBuenas pr\u00e1cticas para sistemas de almacenamiento en acero \u2013 Racks\u00bb. Este documento t\u00e9cnico tuvo una gran acogida por parte de la industria: compradores, ingenieros, consultores y la industria en general, agradecieron la dedicaci\u00f3n y trabajo de este comit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aprovechando el \u00e9xito de este trabajo t\u00e9cnico, el ICHA propuso un nuevo objetivo: trabajar en una norma chilena de racks, usando como base el texto de las bases t\u00e9cnicas comentadas anteriormente.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Y fue as\u00ed, como despu\u00e9s de varios a\u00f1os de trabajo de este comit\u00e9, se logr\u00f3 desarrollar el borrador de lo que hoy es la Nueva Norma Chilena de Racks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La Norma<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A finales del a\u00f1o 2021, el Comit\u00e9 de Estanter\u00edas Met\u00e1licas del Instituto Chileno del Acero, logr\u00f3 finalizar el borrador de la norma. Luego de aquello se han seguido todos los pasos legales: env\u00edo formal al Instituto Nacional de Normalizaci\u00f3n (INN), registro p\u00fablico, entre otros, estando hoy por hoy en v\u00edas de oficializaci\u00f3n, por lo que el mercado de los sistemas de almacenaje est\u00e1 a un paso de dar la bienvenida a la Nueva Norma Chilena de Racks Nch3703.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta nueva norma, representa un desaf\u00edo para los fabricantes de la industria. Se enfoca en temas espec\u00edficos para el dise\u00f1o de estructuras de racks, fija par\u00e1metros en cuanto a materias primas, geometr\u00eda y uniones de elementos, obligando a realizar, verificar y certificar ensayos de los elementos y uniones, entre otros. En el fondo, obliga a los fabricantes a cumplir con requisitos m\u00ednimos de dise\u00f1o, equivalentes para todos los actores de la industria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A su vez, los usuarios-compradores de sistemas de almacenaje juegan y jugar\u00e1n un papel importante, debiendo exigir que sus proyectos cumplan con la certificaci\u00f3n de estos requisitos, establecidos en la norma, ya que finalmente la industria responsable la hacemos entre todos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En este contexto, la futura entrada en vigencia de la NCh3703 no solo eleva el est\u00e1ndar t\u00e9cnico del mercado, sino que tambi\u00e9n refuerza una cultura de prevenci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n del riesgo en la log\u00edstica y el almacenamiento. La correcta implementaci\u00f3n de esta norma permitir\u00e1 reducir significativamente la probabilidad de fallas estructurales, proteger la integridad de las personas y resguardar activos cr\u00edticos, especialmente en instalaciones que operan bajo alta densidad de carga y exigencia operacional. As\u00ed, la norma se convierte en una herramienta clave para fortalecer la resiliencia de la cadena de suministro frente a eventos s\u00edsmicos, alineando a Chile con las mejores pr\u00e1cticas internacionales en seguridad estructural aplicada a sistemas de almacenaje.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En definitiva, la NCh3703 marca un antes y un despu\u00e9s para la industria log\u00edstica nacional.
