Este tiempo alcanza los casi 35 minutos en hora punta durante las tardes. En este escenario, la eficiencia, la planificaci\u00f3n de rutas y el uso de tecnolog\u00eda para adelantarse a imprevistos, marcan la diferencia para cumplir objetivos.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Las ma\u00f1anas y las tardes son los momentos del d\u00eda en que el paisaje santiaguino muestra la masividad de los habitantes que alberga, con sus calles llenas de autom\u00f3viles, micros y transe\u00fantes. En estas dos fracciones del d\u00eda, como parte de una rutina, es necesario armarse de paciencia, prender la radio \u2014que tiene sus peaks de sinton\u00eda justamente en estos lapsos\u2014, y avanzar lentamente hasta llegar a destino. Mientras, los minutos corren, de forma sigilosa, pero despiadada a la vez.<\/p>\n<p>El \u00edndice internacional <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tomtom.com\/traffic-index\/city\/santiago\">TomTom Traffic Index<\/a>, uno de los estudios m\u00e1s citados a nivel mundial sobre congesti\u00f3n vehicular, que analiza datos reales de viajes an\u00f3nimos y continuos para comparar rendimiento de tr\u00e1fico entre ciudades y a trav\u00e9s de los a\u00f1os, revel\u00f3 que las y los conductores en Santiago perdieron 125 horas de su tiempo por estar en congesti\u00f3n vehicular durante 2025, un equivalente a 5 d\u00edas y 5 horas de su a\u00f1o. Esta cifra representa un incremento de 8 horas y 56 minutos respecto de 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien, estas cifras no posicionan a la capital chilena entre las ciudades con mayor congesti\u00f3n (se ubica en el puesto 69 de las 500 analizadas alrededor del mundo), s\u00ed representan un desaf\u00edo creciente para la movilidad urbana, la log\u00edstica de \u00faltima milla y el desarrollo del comercio electr\u00f3nico en la regi\u00f3n. La medici\u00f3n arroj\u00f3 que los conductores demoran un promedio de 23 minutos y 54 segundos en recorrer una distancia de 10 kil\u00f3metros, 39 segundos m\u00e1s que en 2024. Sin embargo, este tiempo aumenta a 30 minutos y 9 segundos en hora punta durante la ma\u00f1ana y 34 minutos y 53 segundos en hora punta durante las tardes, con velocidades promedio de 19.9 km\/h y 17.2 km\/h respectivamente.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl aumento de la congesti\u00f3n vehicular en Santiago podr\u00eda traducirse potencialmente en\u00a0 entregas m\u00e1s lentas, mayores costos operacionales, uso menos eficiente de las flotas y una experiencia de cliente que se ve afectada por retrasos e incumplimientos de ventanas horarias. En un contexto donde los consumidores ya est\u00e1n acostumbrados a entregas cada vez m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidas y precisas, la congesti\u00f3n se transforma en un riesgo cr\u00edtico para la competitividad del comercio electr\u00f3nico\u201d, plantea Carlos D\u00edaz Ojeda, General Manager de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beetrack.com\/es\/\">DispatchTrack<\/a> Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n<p>En Santiago, al igual que en las otras ciudades analizadas, el aumento de la congesti\u00f3n se debe principalmente a factores din\u00e1micos, que son condiciones en constante evoluci\u00f3n que impactan el flujo vehicular diariamente: obst\u00e1culos inesperados, accidentes de tr\u00e1fico, obras y cierres de carreteras. Adem\u00e1s, la lluvia, la nieve o la niebla pueden reducir la visibilidad y la tracci\u00f3n, lo que tambi\u00e9n tiene un impacto en el flujo vehicular. De hecho, los niveles de mayor dificultad se alcanzan a menudo en d\u00edas con condiciones meteorol\u00f3gicas especialmente adversas.<\/p>\n<p>D\u00edaz Ojeda destaca, en este sentido, la urgencia de adoptar estrategias y tecnolog\u00edas que permitan enfrentar la congesti\u00f3n, principalmente a trav\u00e9s de soluciones tecnol\u00f3gicas de movilidad inteligente. \u201cPara mitigar los efectos de la congesti\u00f3n y mantener la velocidad de las entregas, las empresas deben apoyarse en herramientas como la optimizaci\u00f3n din\u00e1mica de rutas basada en tr\u00e1fico en tiempo real, la planificaci\u00f3n inteligente de despachos, el monitoreo en vivo de flotas y la comunicaci\u00f3n proactiva con el cliente. Todo eso permite reaccionar r\u00e1pidamente ante incidentes viales, reducir los tiempos de atascamiento y, por ende, la incertidumbre ante imprevistos.
