Como parte de su plan de modernizaci\u00f3n y mejoramiento en infraestructura, Puerto Antofagasta tiene en curso una licitaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica \u201cConservaci\u00f3n Molo de Abrigo Sector Faro\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Esta licitaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 un aporte para mejorar la competitividad del sistema portuario y a la vez aportar a la reactivaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica de la regi\u00f3n, al convertirse en una oportunidad para empresas del rubro de la construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carlos Escobar, Gerente General de Empresa Portuaria Antofagasta, coment\u00f3 acerca de esta importante iniciativa de inversi\u00f3n: \u201cEste proyecto tiene varios objetivos asociados, los cuales son dar continuidad al comercio exterior para que las riquezas de nuestro Hinterland sean cada vez m\u00e1s competitivas en los mercados internacionales, as\u00ed como tambi\u00e9n garantizar una puerta de entrada a las mercanc\u00edas de importaci\u00f3n y tr\u00e1nsito a otros pa\u00edses, lo que sin duda repercutir\u00e1 positivamente en la calidad de vida de los habitantes de la regi\u00f3n, de sus trabajadores, y la reactivaci\u00f3n de su econom\u00eda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto se enmarca en las continuas iniciativas de inversi\u00f3n de la empresa, en modernizaci\u00f3n, tecnolog\u00eda y conservaci\u00f3n de la infraestructura portuaria.
