Seg\u00fan datos del Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edsticas (INE) en Chile el 12,9% de la poblaci\u00f3n tiene alg\u00fan grado de discapacidad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque existe una gran brecha entre el casi 13% con personas con discapacidad en el pa\u00eds y el 1% que exije la Ley, es un primer paso que cumple con el objetivo de incentivar la inclusi\u00f3n en el mundo laboral e integrarlos de mejor forma a la comunidad adem\u00e1s de relacionarse y conocer a las personas con capacidades diferentes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aunque no se debiera forzar a las empresas a tomar decisiones a trav\u00e9s de leyes, se vuelve una necesidad cuando se reflejan en ellas sesgos retr\u00f3grados que tiene la sociedad. Pese a las recientes normas, las cifras de cumplimiento de las empresas dadas a conocer por la Direcci\u00f3n del Trabajo publicadas a fines del a\u00f1o 2020, mostraron que solo el 24% de ellas estaban acatando la ley.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La norma \u2013 21.015 que ten\u00eda como meta generar 25 mil nuevos empleos para&nbsp;este segmento del mercado laboral -seg\u00fan cifras de la Direcci\u00f3n&nbsp;del Trabajo- s\u00f3lo ha alcanzado 9.157 nuevas contrataciones. No obstante, mientras muchos alertan sobre la p\u00e9rdida de empleos de personas con discapacidad en la pandemia, existen empresas que han tomado la oportunidad \u2013 incluso previo a la tramitaci\u00f3n de esta ley &#8211; creando culturas organizacionales que valoran el talento diverso y generando un efecto integrador porque la \u00fanica forma de trasmitir las creencias y valores es actuar en consecuencia.
